Jon Kuniyoshi, MD, PhD
Dr. Jon received his BS at University of California at Santa Cruz. He attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine, and obtained his MD, PhD degree in 2001. Between 2001 and 2006, he completed both a General Adult Psychiatry residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship through the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital. He has been trained in developmental, behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems modalities, as well as psychopharmacology and parent consultation. His approach to patients and their problems is to individualize treatment plans in order to respond optimally to the needs of the patient. Because problems often involve or affect the family, he will routinely explore with the patient the possible advantages of including family members in sessions. In treating adolescent patients, parents are always involved.
