Dr. Cat is a double board-certified psychiatrist who works with children, adolescents, and their families. She employs an evidence-based and collaborative approach to guide patients and families in reducing negative symptoms and improving functioning and wellbeing. Dr. Cat helps patients achieve their goals with the fewest and lowest doses of medication possible. She supports patients in developing skills and mindsets that lead to long-term improvement.
As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Cat completed 10 years of postgraduate training after earning her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology at UCLA. Dr. Cat graduated from medical school at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. She completed her 3-year Adult Psychiatry Residency at the University of Washington and then completed a 2-year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Seattle Children's Hospital. Upon graduation, she received the award for Clinical Excellence in Psychiatry.
Dr. Cat is experienced in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with a broad range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. She has a particular interest in anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
